The Role: 

As the Business Analyst, you will evaluate internal and external ideas for investment in our Smart Health sectors through research and due diligence.


  • Support corporate venture building from ideation to program execution through research and analysis
  • Compile research reports through an incisive synthesis of information within the sensors, medical devices, and smart health fields to determine partnerships, investments, and strategy 
  • Articulate the alignment and role of target ventures within our company’s broader growth plans
  • Compare and compile the business models of key competitors through research and evaluating emerging technology innovation 
  • Work closely with the Medical team to prepare and deliver timely updates to key project stakeholders
  • Creation of financial and valuation models to evaluate the impact of target projects on enterprise strategies. This includes quantitative analysis of market potential (TAM, SAM, SOM)
  • Participate in partner-facing teams to gather and interpret data, create presentations, and take part in go/no go decisions 
  • Achieve personal and team targets, quotas, and outcomes within agreed upon schedule
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive internal, business and startup relationships 
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in the market
  • Effectively engage with startups and research groups to clarify the market opportunity and potential engagement options.
  • Perform job related travel
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and, if applicable, all company policies relating to IATF16949 and ISO14000


  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in business or life sciences preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an early-stage medical device or biotech company, equity research, or venture capital
  • Prior experience in new product development preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency to collect high quality data, analyze problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches to get to solutions 
  • Ability to understand industry and consumer trends, create a strategic direction and clearly communicate the opportunity to management
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to structure information to resonate with multiple types of audiences 
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows with individual initiative (self-starter) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
