  • Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:

    • Manage month end closing process with all necessary parties and all SAP modules.
    • Prepare Monthly Financial Reports.
    • Prepare consolidated financial reports.
    • Monitor daily postings to assure they are correct and in accordance with company policies.
    • Coordinate with other locations to insure accurate and timely closing.
    • Analyze corporate expenses and provides explanations of variances.
    • Coordinate the departmental activities and assist General Manager in preparation of JSox audit, year-end audit and quarterly reviews.
    • Provides supports in preparation of the annual business plan.
    • Conduct monthly Cost Center Review Meetings with Managers for SGA expense explanations.
    • Provide insight into potential process improvements.
    • Prepare and file monthly tax reports and census.
    • Work as a team member with other accounting department personnel.
    • Train other team members as necessary.
    • Track financial metrics such as Cash forecasting; Inventory Analysis; and Standard Cost Changes
    • Complete any special projects as assigned by Management.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including IATF16949 and ISO14000 related policies as applicable.

    Qualifications

    Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in Automotive industry and/or Manufacturing
    • Minimum of 2 years experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); i.e. SAP preferred               
    • Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) experience preferred
    • Minimum of 1 year experience with both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) preferred
    • Above average computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel)
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to train junior associates
    • Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills and organizational skills
    • Detail oriented
    • Proven ability to work well in a group setting and independently
