  • Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:

    • Responsible for building and ground maintenance, including periodic inspection of utilities, safety, structural checks and cleaning, of all facilities on premise for Wixom Offices.
    • Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance activities.
    • Actively engaged with safety compliance at Wixom campus including safety and security orientation, periodic safety talks, etc.
    • Management of all aspects of the fleet vehicle program (i.e. assignments, maintenance, retrieval, etc.).
    • Manage and maintain facility security systems.
    • Acts as primary contact for building and security systems.
    • Interface with vendors for facilities and security maintenance.
    • Management of the janitorial function and inventory.
    • Supervise and train assigned staff.
    • Works collaboratively with stakeholders, outside vendors and business partners with the highest ethics to accomplish business objectives.
    • Acts to certify and train associates on heavy equipment (i.e. forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
    • Develop timelines for projects and communicate those timelines to the business as appropriate.
    • Works with Sales staff to resolve vehicle issues as appropriate (i.e. accident, vehicle maintenance, re-order, etc.)
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and will adhere to all company polices relating to IATF-16949 and ISO14000.


    Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Associate degree in technical field (Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) preferred
    • General knowledge of the mechanics of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and functionality required; technical certifications preferred
    • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in facilities and building maintenance
    • Minimum of one (1) year in building or facility management
    • Above average teamwork and effective interpersonal relations in order to perform tasks requested by multiple personnel
    • Experience in leading safety initiatives preferred
    • Experience in Fleet vehicle maintenance preferred
    • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Proficient computer skills in various systems including those related to fleet management, building infrastructure, MS Office, etc.
    • Ability to develop /write procedures and work instructions
    • Strong time management skills
    • Ability to supervise and motivate a team
    • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
