  • Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:

    • Plan, organize and control various portions of product training programs and sales events on a local and regional level; traveling as needed
    • Consistently seek out and implement new industry leading methods and channels for training development and growth
    • Maximize NGK/NTK/WVE exposure via robust training efforts in key markets and industries
    • Attend key events, tradeshows, and industry events to support the NGK/NTK/WVE product lines
    • Produce and publish technical articles for all types of customers
    • Maintain a library of technical articles for both NGK/NTK/WVE product portfolios
    • Maintain detailed documentation of training class attendees
    • Develop and maintain cost-efficient procedures consistent with company policies while arranging company sponsored training events in the field
    • Attend team building events to increase product knowledge and create additional training material
    • Support the technical services team while performing field activities as requested
    • Support field sales representatives in product change-overs, product damage claims, and product support needs
    • Assist the technical support call center as needed

    Qualifications

    Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    • Associates Degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or similar field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a repair facility performing the duties of a journeyman technician in the field of electrical and drivability diagnosis and repair
    • Excellent presentation/training skills and interpersonal skills with at least 3 years of previous experience in the technical training field
    • Master ASE Certification or ability to obtain within the first year of employment
    • Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket industry
    • Written and verbal bilingual skills in Spanish preferred
    • Experience answering technical calls and/or providing verbal technical assistance in an automotive related discussion
    • Ability to create technical and sales related curriculum individually and within a team building environment
    • Must possess proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills
    • Proven ability to work with other business partners to accomplish shared company objectives
    • Ability to travel up to 75%
