    Essential Duties:

    • Coordinates safety program and maintains associated safety related manuals/procedures.
    • Maintains the plans for fire evacuation and disaster response. Serves as the facility emergency response coordinator.
    • Conduct emergency drills on annual basis
    • Investigate safety issues and accidents;
    • Conduct safety reviews and makes recommendations.
    • Leads safety committee activities; i.e. monthly meetings, audits, inspections etc.
    • Provides training to new and existing associates in Safety awareness/policies.
    • Maintains a complete and up-to-date Hazardous Communication program.
    • Certify associates on all Industrial Material Handling Power Equipment
    • Leads a preventive maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget which includes all maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
    • Communicates with all outside Service/Supply vendors as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, company policies and procedures.
    • Maintains up-to-date records for all federal, state and insurance inspections.
    • Assists warehouse in special projects as directed.


    Other Duties:

    • Perform all job-related tasks as assigned.
    • Travel as needed


    Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Associate’s degree preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with OSHA regulations
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the warehouse or production environment
    • Minimum 2 years work experience in facilities and building maintenance
    • Detail oriented
    • Experience driving a forklift, certification preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • First Aid / CPR training preferred
    • Ability to train and present information
    • Ability to develop / write procedures and work instructions
    • Ability to identify and act in safety sensitive situations.
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organization and planning skills
    • Proven ability to work and communicate well via email, telephone and in person
    • Ability to determine safety and facilities issues as well as recommend solutions
    • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing at least the minimum essential functions of the job required
