    Responsibilities

    • Train, mentor and supervise Supply Chain Coordinator(s) /Program Coordinator(s), support problem solving and continuous improvement, and audit their work periodically.
    • Facilitate a series of ongoing meetings with various departments in Aftermarket to validate SOP/EOP information; leverage gained information as an input to the planning and forecasting processes.
    • Establish and lead routine meetings with the Aftermarket or OEM teams to obtain information about new products and part numbers coming to market; manage product introduction and milestones.
    • Manage timing through standard program management tools (Planning Tracker) for transitioned, new, or changeover parts; reduce or eliminate dead stock as a result.
    • Develop new planning tools (and regularly refine existing tools) to continually improve upon the reduction of waste in the change management process.
    • Aggressively root-cause any instances of waste incurred during change management (in the form of leftover stock, premium freight, etc.); preclude through revising documented process and verify effectiveness of the changes to facilitate continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with Aftermarket and Inventory Planning to introduce new Wells products under the NGK brand as the Business envisions.
    • Input into the S&OP process for both new-to-market OEM and AM product, close contact with Inventory Planning and Materials group to ensure alignment with demanded planning.
    • Communicates internally with necessary business community members on progress of the program management, any obstacles, and completion timing.
    • Review necessary data, utilizes knowledge, experience and available resources to make recommendations concerning which discrepancies can be resolved by the customer versus which pricing can be adjusted in our system to match the customer’s invoice.
    • Assist in coordination between NGK Canada and NGK USA to manage customer orders, forecasting, and order prioritization related to fill rate.
    • Manages the monthly sales forecast for Chicago/Irvine products and upload of the 3 year forecast.
    • Submit various reports as necessary.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with internal customers and suppliers while ensuring commitment to customer or market milestone timing.
    • Perform job-related travel as necessary.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (in Supply Chain Management) or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in OEM or Aftermarket Program Management or similar field
    • Minimum of 2 years of leading/training role in program management and/or planning.
    • Minimum of 2 year experience in MRP system – SAP highly preferred
    • Automotive industry experience preferred (particularly in going to market processes such as PPAP)
    • Ability to manage projects using multiple tools
    • Possesses an excellent working knowledge of Supply Chain practices
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Strong analytical math skills
    • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy
    • Ability to work well with a team as well as cross-departmentally
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Familiarity with SharePoint preferred
    • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
